Position Overview As a Senior Project Manager at DePuy Synthes Spine, you will specialize in new product development processes and metrics and will be responsible for all project management aspects of a project. You will be helping lead the project team through all phases of the product development process and collaborating with many cross-functional partners on planning and executing projects or portions of a project from concept through product launch and commercialization. You will also be expected to develop a working understanding of our product lines and various spinal pathologies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to create and maintain project plans and risk-adjusted timelines.

  • Build, monitor and analyze project risks and identify mitigation strategies.

  • Handle project communications to all cross-functional project team members and partners, which may include project websites, meeting minutes, status reports, presentations, and any other detailed project information needed.

  • Serve as the point of contact for all internal partners (manufacturing, accounting, purchasing, sterilization, packaging, regulatory, quality, clinical, etc.) regarding project activities.

  • Lead to the critical path, identifying and resolving roadblock issues.

  • Define and lead key project constraints such as scope, schedule, budget, and resources.

  • Ensure project plans and deliverables follow appropriate design control procedures and any other applicable procedures and/or regulations.

  • Act as the liaison with R&D group managers or other cross-functional managers as needed to ensure project goals are achieved.

  • Know and follow all laws and policies that apply to the job and maintain the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and compliance at all times. You will participate in our compliance program-related activities as denoted by your supervisor or Chief Compliance Officer.

Qualifications

Education & Required Skills/Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or another related field is required

  • 5 years’ significant Project Management experience

  • Experience effectively leading projects in all phases

  • Experience in product development

    Preferred Skills & Experiences:

  • Developed leadership capabilities and negotiation skills, as well as an attention to detail and ability to effectively assimilate and communicate complex information from multiple sources

  • Ability to recognize and facilitate the resolution of project issues and roadblocks

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

  • Proficiency utilizing the MS Office Suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Advanced Technical Degree

  • Exposure to multiple phases from early development through launch

  • Experience in the medical device industry

  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams

  • Familiarity with project lifecycle management (PLM) software

  • Proficiency utilizing SharePoint

  • Proficiency in the following project management knowledge areas: effective teamwork, integration and collaboration, scope, time, cost, quality, resourcing, communication, risk and procurement

  • PMP Certification

  • This position is located in Raynham, MA and requires up to 15% travel
