Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Senior Marketing Manager, Downstream – Portfolio Effectiveness to join our Spine Global Growth Marketing (GGM) Department located in Raynham, MA.

Reporting to the Sr. Director GGM Downstream, the role of the Senior Marketing Manager, Downstream – Spine Portfolio Effectiveness is to enhance and streamline the commercial execution of the spine business’ overall global strategy inclusive of Complex spine, MIS/Degen and Biomaterials. This individual will lead a team and partner with key stakeholders to develop strategy and lead downstream marketing efforts to drive overall commercial success for the spine portfolio in both the US and globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive spine strategy as a horizontal resource across the full spine portfolio to enhance the overall effectiveness of Spine’s Downstream GGM team

  • Lead and develop the Portfolio Effectiveness Downstream Global Growth Marketing team

  • Partner with product portfolio teams to improve messaging, process, communication and overall experience that key stakeholders, FSO and customers have with the GGM team

  • Drive omnichannel marketing efforts and communication strategies for GGM team

  • Drive and own certain launch and portfolio management responsibilities especially pertaining to digital solutions that integrate across spine portfolio (ie Velys Spine)

  • Centrally manage key relationships and processes with 3rd party partnerships that enhance the JJMT Spine portfolio (ie sales agency, distribution, preferred partnership)

  • Support surgeon and FSO engagement strategy through the lens of society, study group, research and professional education partnership

  • Develop sustainable relationships with Worldwide KOL's, Sales, Marketing, and Regional leadership

  • Support key portfolio management exercises and process in partnership with key stakeholders where appropriate

  • Support efforts to critically examine market dynamics to support strategic and tactical marketing plans through robust customer interaction

  • Incorporate DE&I efforts (e.g. Women in Spine) into commercial efforts

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a BS/BA degree is required. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

  • Candidate must have 10+ years total progressive business experience in any of the following areas: Marketing, R&D, Medical Device Sales.

  • A minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience or medical device experience is preferred.

  • Proven strong collaboration skills to effectively partner with regional and global business partners

  • Ability to effectively lead, manage, and develop a team of marketers

  • A strong ability to connect global strategy to commercial execution

  • Understanding of business processes involved in operating in the medical devices, robotics and/or digital space

  • Key performance areas include communication skills, product management, analytical skills, successful team player and ability to influence others.

  • Demonstrated ability to build, test, and gain support for strategies

  • Demonstrate effective planning and prioritization skills and establishes self as expert and leader for new product development project

  • Ability to communicate effectively to inform senior leaders of critical inputs for strategic and organizational implications of issues or decisions

  • Proven ability to review data sets and discern trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvements

  • Creative thinking and strong customer centric problem-solving skills

  • Strong presentation skills and ability to influence others

  • Ability to establish and maintain credibility as a knowledgeable business partner

  • Ability to work within a matrix organization and to adapt to a rapidly changing environment

  • Should have a track record of career advancement and exceeding expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 40%

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $120,000 to $207,000.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
