Role:

The Program Manager, Digital Solutions will report to the Director of Digital Solutions. In this newly created position, the Program Manager, Digital Solutions will lead project activities related to the development of new digital solutions across the patient care continuum, to improve outcomes and reduce costs.

The Program Manager, Digital Solutions will be responsible for overall execution of product development activities, including establishing key performance indicators, performance metrics and risk mitigation activities. This will require collaboration with in-house teams, cross J&J teams, multi-functional teams, and external partners to align project deliverables with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

•Manage digital solutions, defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation and successful on-time delivery.

•Develop project plans and coordinate with project and extended team members, assuring alignment on the strategy, definition of success, and appropriate resourcing required of project execution.

•Develop program metrics to align with supporting stakeholders, ensuring visibility and accountability of supporting efforts.

•Plan and manage software deployments for new product launches and/or major improvements to existing products.

•Use the appropriate mix of traditional and agile project and program management methodologies.

•Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration, and dedication across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.

•Communicate project issues and status in a concise, accurate, and professional manner

•Ultimately accountable for team’s compliance with approved Project Charters, Design Controls, and Change Management.

•Measure and report effectiveness of new programs.

•Exercise leadership in removing project roadblocks and articulating potential project risks.

•Problem solve and find solutions for unique or one-off projects and issues.

•Participate relevantly in strategic and technical discussions and decisions.

Qualifications

•A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree is required (in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related discipline is preferred). Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s degree or MBA) is preferred.

•Proficiency with Project Management methodologies (e.g., PMX) is required; PMP Certification is preferred.

•A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience including at least 5 years of technical program management, software engineering or related experience in healthcare or enterprise software solutions.

•Comfort with all aspects of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to development to testing to release management and a solid understanding and familiarity with the common challenges is required.

•Ability to engage multiple technical teams to drive consistent expectations towards a shared goal is required.

•Ability to communicate technical concepts, risks, and interdependent requirements clearly and effectively is required.

•Demonstrated ability to balance changes in scope, resources, and timing on projects while handling risks and maintaining determined focus on customer satisfaction is required.

•This position may require up to 10% travel.
