Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Quincy, Massachusetts

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Receptionist in Quincy, Massachusetts. This role operates within the healthcare industry and will be housed in a bustling office environment. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including managing patient data and coordinating with various departments.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients into the practice and provide them with necessary information

• Update and maintain patient demographic and financial data in our electronic health records system

• Identify and document patient financial responsibilities such as co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles and/or past due balances

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while maintaining up-to-date electronic medical records for all patients

• Relay medical and insurance updates to the appropriate departments as needed

• Confirm that medical charts are complete and financial responsibilities are settled before patients leave

• Manage patient inquiries, scheduling needs and account notations through timely, professional, and respectful phone calls

• Occasionally travel to other locations, with advance notice provided

• Utilize skills in EHR System, Answering Inbound Calls, Insurance Verifications, Prior Authorizations, and Data Entry to effectively carry out duties.

Duration: Temp-Perm

Hours:

• Monday and Friday: 7:30 am – 3:30 pm

• Tuesday: 10:00 am – 6:30 pm

• Wednesday and Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00 pm

• Saturday (Occasional): 8:00am – 12:00pm

MUST be able to travel to the other three locations (Weymouth, Norwood and Norwell) occasionally. Notice is given a week in advance

Pay: $21-$22/HR

Requirements • Proficiency in EHR (Electronic Health Records) System

• Ability to manage and answer inbound calls efficiently

• Experience in insurance verifications and prior authorizations

• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

• Good organizational and multitasking abilities

• Knowledge of medical terminologies

• Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Prior experience in a medical reception or similar role is preferred

• Basic understanding of patient care and medical office procedures
