Job Description:

  • UNIT DESCRIPTION: The Critical Care Center is a 13-bed critical care unit with 24 hour intensivist coverage that serves adult and geriatric patients with medical and/or surgical issues. Preference will be given, by seniority, to those qualified nurses who were serially displaced within the 18 months following his/her displacement according to MNA contract section 9.4 (f)(1). Minimum Requirements:

  • Current Massachusetts RN license.

  • Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications required.

  • Minimum of 2 years, within the past year, telemetry experience required.

  • Strong current evaluation and evidence of up to date documented professional development requirements.

  • Written recommendation from current manager to include demonstrated ability to perform under stressful situations, problem solve and excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred Requirements:

  • BSN preferred.

  • Evidence of completion of Critical Care Course or equivalent preferred.

  • Current Charge nurse experience preferred.

  • CCRN preferred.

  • Previous experience working in Critical Care environment, including caring for patients with ventilators, critical infusions, or hemodynamic monitoring preferred.

  • Willing to train in complex setting. As with all job assignments, staff may be floated to areas where they are needed.
