Jordan Hospital Respiratory Therapist- Pulmonary Function Technologist in Plymouth, Massachusetts
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain operation of PFT lab, including performance of pulmonary function testing on patients, appropriate scheduling and registration of outpatients/inpatients referred for testing.
Maintain standard operating procedures to ensure effective record keeping processes.
Perform efficient/effective quality control/compliance. Adherence to all applicable regulatory agencies: Joint Commission of Allied Health Organization requirements and American Thoracic Society standards.
Maintain effective communication tools with physician's offices in order to efficiently receive referrals and process PFT reporting.
Understanding of PFT equipment/computer operation, calibration, and trouble-shooting problems that may arise.
Understand appropriateness of test values, statistical methodology and assessment of validity/reliability of test results.

Experience/Knowledge/Skills Required
Previous experience performing pulmonary function testing.
National Board of Respiratory Care Certification/Registration in Pulmonary Function Testing (CPFT or RPFT) or obtained within 12 months of hire.
Experience with computer systems including Microsoft Office Work, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
Education Required
Graduate of A.M.A. approved certification program for Respiratory Therapy.
Two-year program with an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care.
Registration/Certifications
Massachusetts License
National Board Certification. CRT or RRT.
