Sodexo Leisure is seeking an Executive Chef 2 for Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth, MA with a broad interest in food from historical cuisine to current trends to join our team. Plimoth Plantation, a living history museum focusing on the experience of the 17th Century Colonial Settlers and the Indigenous People who were here on the land, is looking for an experienced, energetic Executive Chef to lead our culinary team.
This seasonal operation provides all culinary services at the museum, from small internal meetings to 60+ wedding receptions per year, serves over 2000 guests on Thanksgiving day, and operates two retail locations daily from March - November. Unique aspects of our offerings include operating a wood-fired oven for baking bread and other retail selections, and preparing meals using recipes from, and inspired by, the 17th Century and Native American traditions.
The ideal candidate will have experience with high-volume catered events and handling multiple events at one time; experience writing and costing menus; and strong HACCP and food safety knowledge.

Provides culinary leadership within a medium sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution.
Implements & coordinates the culinary function.
Directs & trains cooks & utility workers.
Ensures food preparation & production meets operational standards.
Manages catering & retail areas.
Customer & Client satisfaction.
Financial management to include food cost & labor management.
Manages food & physical safety programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
