Barrington Stage Company (BSC) is seeking Theatre Administrators (Admins) to serve as logistical support for various teams involved in representing BSC\'s mission and vision. The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to gain exposure to a plethora of different jobs within non-profit theatre administration and production. These people will be essential team members providing support to various departments including Special Events, Company Management, Development, and Education. These positions will function on a rotational basis with the intention of providing a full experience and growth opportunities for the candidates. The rotation schedule will be based on factors like artist arrival and departure, special event schedules, administration needs, educational programming. To be successful in this role, you must be self-motivated, be able to multitask, and open to taking direction, with an adaptability to change your focus quickly based on company need. Theatre Admins are seasonal hourly positions that will be consistently scheduled and serve in a variety of capacities through Special Events, Company Management, Development, and Education. Nights and weekends throughout the summer season are required. Housing is available. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: COMPANY MANAGEMENT Gain a holistic understanding of what is required to keep a large regional theater operational in the midst of the season. Including tasks such as: - Transport guest artists between transportation hubs for arrival and departure for BSC related work - Housing setup, takedown, and transitions. - Distribution of company mail and paychecks - Address union rules, regulations and concerns with artists - General support needed for the department administratively SPECIAL EVENTS Supporting all aspects of party and event management. Potential events that will need support are: opening night parties, events specifically for donors, toasts for cast and crew, etc. Duties include: - RSVP tracking and follow-up with attendees as needed - Setup, breakdown, host/hostess duties, gathering supplies, and transporting details to and from event spaces - Internal department communication and notice about events scheduled for BSC - General support needed for the department administratively DEVELOPMENT Gain valuable skills and experience in donor relations and development: - Providing support for BSC\'s Annual Gala (including event design, registration, timeline, invitations, thank yous) - Creation of monthly donor newsletters - Assisting with Lead Patron benefits like parking, donations and ticketing, as well as greeting patrons at rehearsals, back-stage tours, VIP parking, and distributing signed posters - Conducting donor research on potential supporters - General support needed for the department administratively EDUCATION - Engage with our robust education department across multiple disciplines, supporting the Music Theatre Ensemble, Devised Theatre Ensemble, Kids Act! and Teens Act! programs EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: - Background in a theatre environment preferred - A collaboratively driven team player with a \"can do\" attitude and positive spirit - Strong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work calmly under pressure - Ability to adapt to various interactions with different folks in a friendly and professional manner - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality - Valid United States\' driver\'s license, clean driving record (No more than a speeding ticket in the last 2 years), at least three years of driving experience - Proficiency in Google Drive (Sheets, Docs, Forms, Gmail, Google Calendar) - Ability to lift, carry, and pull up to 40 lbs START DATE & PAY RATE: - \$600 weekly inclusive of 50 hours, non-exempt - Start Date: May 19, 2025 - End Date: No later than September 1, 2025 - Housing included
