City of Pittsfield IT Systems Administrator I in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

JOB TITLE: IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR I DEPARTMENT: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY EMPLOYMENT TYPE: FULL-TIME/ EXEMPT UNION/NON-UNION: NON-UNION Reporting to the Chief Information Officer and working in collaboration with the Director of HR and Director Finance, the IT Systems Administrator I will support municipal financial systems and line of business applications. The IT Systems Administrator I must approach this role from a customer service focus, and should consider their coworkers as being their customers. As such, technical knowledge, responsiveness, and interpersonal skills are each critical elements of success in this position. RESPONSIBILITIES - Administration of Munis ERP solution. - Administration of ExecuTime software including auditing of payroll transactions. - Administration of on premise server side and cloud based financial applications. - Assists with the administration and implementation of union contracts as it relates to payroll. - Assists with matters related to building security including access to building security systems - Responsible for engineering and support of Power BI reporting solutions, Crystal Reports, and other data warehouse environments. - Upgrading, installing, patching / troubleshooting of server-side financial applications. - Analyze operational data, identify potential issues, and provide strategies for optimal integration of business applications. - Provide end user support for Munis, ExecuTime, Crystal Reports, and other line of business applications. - Completes help desk tickets; monitors for and respond to help desk tickets as they are submitted by end users. - Develop training material and conduct end user training; may serve as project manager when implementing new business applications. - Performs other related duties as required or assigned. QUALIFICATIONS - At least five (5) years of full-time experience administering database applications. - Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or information systems is preferred, a combination of relevant field experience, training, and education will be considered. - Preference will be given to candidates who possess Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Power BI, CRCP, or PMP certifications. - Expertise in reporting technologies such as Crystal Reports and Power BI and / or ETL. - Experience with data warehouse and business intelligence systems. - Working knowledge of networking and the Active Directory domain environment. - Working knowledge of financial services industry. - Willingness and ability to learn new technologies and take on additional responsibilities as required by the position. HOURS 35 hours per week 8:30AM - 4:00PM, Monday-Friday SALARY \$67,051.47 - \$87,166.89 APPLICATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 4:00PM.
