Director of Human Resources

Pay $150,000 - $180,000 per year

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Director of Human Resources, you will lead the HR initiatives across our client. Your role will align with and deliver on the company's strategic goals of growth, team development, product improvement, and profitability. You will evaluate, implement, and manage HR systems to create a compliant and effective human experience for employees and the company. Your areas of accountability will include employee relations, regulatory compliance, department budget, staffing needs, onboarding, employee and team development, appraisals, compensation plans, and building a company culture that engages and retains employees.

Essential Responsibilities

Leadership and Management : Lead, manage, and coordinate HR services, policies, and programs to foster a high-performance culture emphasizing safety, security, and quality while continuously developing employee engagement.

  • Legal Compliance: Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day employee management, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with the legal department as needed.

- Recruitment : Create and manage recruiting methods to identify role requirements, evaluate sources for the best candidates, and manage the interviewing and hiring process to maintain organizational talent.

- Employee Relations: Evaluate employee situations through interviews and data collection to determine root causes and lead corrective activities.

- Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation and benefits packages by providing market and positional data for salary setting, monitoring, and communicating changes in trends, and maintaining broker relationships for benefits excellence.

- Strategic Staffing: Develop strategic staffing plans and programs with executive management to identify and develop talent within and outside the organization for all positions.

- Employee Engagement: Consult with management and team members to improve working relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

- Performance Management: Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).

- Collaboration: Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention. Collaborate with local management and HR colleagues for effective HR service provision.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources management or equivalent experience/degree.

  • Experience: Proven experience leading an HR team and being the top HR professional in an organization.

  • Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.

  • Strong problem-solving skills.

  • Budget management experience.

  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.

  • Computer literacy.

Pay Details: $150,000.00 to $180,000.00 per year
