Berkshire Health Systems Director of Environmental Services in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
The primary function of the Director of Environmental Services is to manage the day to day activities & processes of the Environmental Services Departments at multiple sites within Berkshire Health Systems. He/she must maintain compliance with the organizational standards for cleaning and requests for service. Specifically, he/she must run the day to day operation of the departments, coordinate communication with customers and departments and within the EVS leadership team
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
1+ year experience in Healthcare Environmental Services Management strongly preferred.
A minimum of 1 year experience in at least one of the following areas required
Team Leader
Supervisory responsibilities in a healthcare setting
Education and Training:
Bachelors Degree required
License, Certification & Registration:
DRIVER - Driver's License
Hospital Hazmat and Decontamination – Operations Level (preferred)
Member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) (preferred)
Other Requirements:
Ability to speak, read and write the English language in an understandable manner.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Strong verbal communication and documentation skills.
Must comply with all mandatory, hospital, Joint Commission and department education and training/competency requirements
