Berkshire Health Systems Clinical Therapist in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Clinical Therapist is a health care professional who functions as an integral member of an interdisciplinary treatment team. S/he provides psychosocial assessments, treatment, and helps manage a structured and safe inpatient milieu. The Clinical Therapist must be skilled in providing multi-modal therapy (individual, group, family). S/he is responsible for the on-going assessment of the care plan ensuring that it meets the needs of the patient at all times. S/he is knowledgeable about the risk factors inherent in the patient population and actively supports a culture that fosters safety for patients and staff alike. The Clinical Therapist is skilled in effective communication and is responsible for clear and concise documentation in the patient care record.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:
Experience working on an inpatient psychiatric unit; preferred.
Experience working with people with substance use disorders preferred.
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field or Bachelors in any Discipline with 2 years experience in Mental Health field.
License, Certification & Registration:
LSW - Licensed Social Worker is preferred.
CPR within 3 months of hire
Other Requirements:
Be Smart Be Safe Safety Training within one month of hire.
Demonstrated ability to work within a treatment team format is required.
Demonstrated ability to provide high quality patient care and effectively utilize clinical supervision is required.
Must be able to be a good role model for patients.
Qualified candidates must demonstrate evidence of clinical and personal growth.
