Elder Services of Berkshire County, Inc. Benefits Support Specialist in Pittsfield, Massachusetts
The Benefits Support Specialist position will act as a resource for older adults and individuals with disabilities. Providing benefit eligibility information, application assistance or navigation to application assistance for any Medicaid (MassHealth) related programs or services, including Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Offer telephone, virtual, and in-person support, as requested by the individual. Become a Certified Application Counselor (CAC) through self-paced, virtual training. Provide assistance to MassHealth members age 65+ through the redetermination process, including the completion of training on the MassHealth Application for Health Coverage for Seniors and People Needing Long-Term Care Services (SACA). Associate\'s degree and two years\' relevant experience in elder related social services or health care. SHINE and/or CAC experience preferred. 15 Hours per week.
