Barrington Stage Company, Inc. Associate Company Manager in Pittsfield, Massachusetts

Barrington Stage Company (BSC) seeks an Associate Company Manager (ACM) to join the team. The ACM assists the Company Manager (CM) in overseeing the working and living experience of the entire BSC Company including actors, directors, designers and production staff for all events and performances in the 2025 BSC Season. Successful candidates will be self-starters with a knack for engaging with all types of people and are able to think creatively on the fly. They will have exemplary preparation and organization skills and be able to coordinate multiple moving parts under pressure. The Associate Company Manager is a full-time, exempt, seasonal position. Nights and weekends throughout the summer season are required as scheduled by the CM. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Focus on housing needs including managing rental properties and support guest artists with any housing and hospitality needs - Represent BSC in a professional manner at all times, both at work and in the community - Transport BSC guest artists between transportation hubs for arrival and departure - Reserve and coordinate pick up/drop off of rental cars when necessary - Create and distribute welcome materials - Assist general management as needed with contracts and union paperwork - Coordinate meals and/or catering during tech for staff members - Take part in a rotating emergency and lockout on-call schedule - Regularly check in on rehearsals and performances - Deliver mail and payroll to visiting artists in our theatre buildings - Accompany staff and artists to medical facilities after work related injuries - Run department related errands as assigned by the Company Manager - Other administrative duties as assigned EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS - Must have a valid US driver\'s license, with a clean driving record and at least 3 years of driving experience. - Ability to drive a cargo van and/or a 12-15 seat passenger van a plus. - Previous theater management experience is a plus, including an understanding of the Actor\'s Equity Rulebook. - Collaborative energy, \"can do\" attitude and positive, empathetic spirit. - Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail - Self-motivation to stay organized in a fast paced environment. - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. - Proficiency in Google Drive (Sheets, Docs, Forms, Gmail, Google Calendar). - Ability to lift, carry, and pull up to 30 lbs. - Comfortable in an environment that can involve up to several hours a day on your feet. START DATE & PAY RATE: - \$850 per week, Overtime exempt, housing included. - Start Date: April 15, 2025 - End Date: October 31, 2025 - Housing Included
