Job Title: Carpenter/Framer

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Carpenters or Wood Framers to join our team. You will be working on wood framing for large-scale commercial projects, which involves framing, trimming, cutting, and nailing wood. We are looking for both entry-level and experienced candidates to fill various positions. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits!

Responsibilities

• Perform wood framing for large-scale commercial projects

• Cut, trim, and nail wood for construction purposes

• Work on stair and rafter cutting

• Install pre-fabricated wall panels and trusses

• Engage in multi-family and commercial wood framing

• Collaborate with a team and report to a foreman for day-to-day tasks

• Comfortably work at heights of 5+ stories

Essential Skills

• Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently if necessary

• Willingness to learn and be challenged

• General construction knowledge

• Reliable transportation

• Experience in commercial construction

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience working as a carpenter or apprentice on wood framing projects (1+ years)

• Trade school education/training

• Must supply own basic hand tools: work boots, hard hat, tool belt, chalk line, 25 FT tape measure, speed square, cat paw, framing hammer

• Hardworking, eager to learn, reliable, and possess a good attitude

• Ability to commute up to 60 miles to various sites

Work Environment

All projects are located in the New England area, with current sites in Worcester, Salem, Cape Cod, Peabody, Methuen, and more. Team members must have reliable transportation and may have the opportunity to carpool with other employees. You will be assigned to a crew of 3-5 individuals and report to a foreman. The work culture on-site is commercial construction-oriented, requiring a thick skin when dealing with other trades. The ideal candidate should be from the South of Worcester for easier commute to future job sites.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plainville, Massachusetts

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $22.50/hr.
