ORANGE Counselor - Opioid Treatment Clinic Apply your experience working with individuals on the road to recovery from drug and alcohol addiction! Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Counselor in the Opioid Treatment (OTP) program at Behavioral Health Network! BHN/OTP is a Medication Assisted Treatment Program to assist individuals who are addicted to opiates and are experiencing their dysfunctional effects to gain and maintain the skills needed to achieve an opiate-free lifestyle. The OTP program uses evidence-based medication protocols approved by the Medical Director to ensure patients safely detox from these substances. These protocols are implemented through assessment and re-assessment practices throughout the process. Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the OTP program with the following: Providing comprehensive Intake Evaluations with clinical formulations and recommendations based on sound clinical principals and judgment for individuals in recovery from substance use. Providing individual, family, couples, and/or group treatment based on sound clinical theories and principals. Involving all pertinent family members/residential providers in treatment, as appropriate. Recognizing the unique needs of dually diagnosed individuals and special populations. Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with the members of the health care team. Providing care with kindness and sensitivity, preserving individuals? autonomy, dignity, and rights. Providing comprehensive risk/crisis evaluations and taking appropriate actions to keep clients and others safe. Completing progress notes using collaborative documentation in a timely manner and in line with agency policy. Documenting and billing for services in a manner that is compliant with all applicable rules/regulations. Bachelor\'s Degree in a related field (required); Master\'s degree in a related field (preferred). At least two years of related experience in mental health and substance abuse settings (preferred). At least one year of substance abuse experience (preferred). Licensed or actively working towards a clinical licensure (preferred). Broad knowledge of substance use disorders and treatment techniques (required). Willingness and ability to treat challenging and diverse client populations. Cultural competence in dealing with clients with a variety of different cultural backgrounds. Working knowledge of community resources, and how to help clients access them.
