Institute for Healthcare Improvement Manager, Business Development (Remote) in Not Listed, Massachusetts
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Proposal and Business Development Support Lead standard proposals independently, and co-lead complex proposals with other team members. Support team on all other proposal development processes through administration, coordination, and documentation. Conduct research and analytics for proposal and general BD needs. Draft and edit concept documents, proposals, presentations, agreements, and budgets. Track grants for potential business opportunities and coordinate compliance to regulatory standards (including those set by USAID, HHS, and various foundations) BD Team Operations and Strategic Support Identify and implement change ideas for improvements in BD processes. Support and contribute to documentation of BD knowledge, processes and standard work. Support subregional lead in tactical revenue planning and BD pursuits Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Awareness of competitive analysis and market trends. Advanced writing skills, allowing them to lead the proposal writing process Comprehensive knowledge of business operations and management principles. Proficient project management skills, including resource allocation, risk management, and performance tracking. Advanced skills to proactively and reactively problem-solve Advanced proficiency with CRM software. Proficient knowledge of regulatory practices and basic compliance Skilled in leading data collection and analysis efforts, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of information to support strategic initiatives. Ability to lead relationship-building initiatives by coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for proposal strategies. Ability to develop and implement business strategies that align with organizational goals and drive proposal success. Ability to make informed and timely decisions that enhance proposal outcomes and align with organizational priorities. Commitment to IHI Values Commitment to equity, anti-racism, and the improvement of societal systems Position Qualifications: Required Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent work experience 5-7 Years of experience in a related field (proposal development, non-profit business development, etc.) Professional level written and verbal English proficiency Microsoft Office Proficiency: Intermediate: Teams, Outlook Advanced: Word, PPT, Excel Experience working within a CRM Software Ability or willingness to travel occasionally Preferred Additional certifications or advanced training in related field Professional level written and verbal proficiency of additional languages (Spanish and Portuguese especially) Experience in business development in health and health care nonprofits Experience in US government (including USAID) business acquisition Physical Attributes: Ability to Sit for Extended Periods: Capability to work at a desk for long durations. Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using a computer, including typing, mouse handling, and other office equipment. Visual Acuity: Ability to read and view a computer screen for extended periods. Hearing and Speaking: Clear communication over phone and video calls. Environment Setup: Access to a quiet, professional home office setup conducive to focused work and virtual meetings. Lifting: Occasionally requires lifting up to 25 lbs as needed.
