The Advisor Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) advances IHI\'s mission by building competency, coaching, and inspiring across the organization. Acting as an ambassador, the Advisor independently enhances internal capability and expertise in DEIB. They partner with leadership to develop, implement, and measure IHI\'s DEIB strategy and initiatives. This best-inclass program will build capability across all functions, including roles focused on delivering equity projects to external customers and partners. As equity is foundational to global health improvement, these programs and initiatives will also support external partners in their equity journeys. Position Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Develops, maintains, improves, and sunsets IHI\'s DEIB training, initiatives, and supporting resources for all staff across the globe based on feedback loops and other data driven insights Provides recommendations and strategic direction, sustainability, and operational planning related to DEIB initiatives Partner with teams and departments across the organization to assure IHI values, including equity, are embedded in all of our systems, processes, and actions Act as the subject matter expert within DEIB to consult on revenue generating work such as educational and event programming, contract and grants, networking initiatives, etc. Partners with IHI\'s Vice President for Health Equity to liaise with the Equity Advisory Group (EAG), an independent group of advisors chartered by the IHI Board of Directors to advise on IHI\'s internal and external equity work. Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Role Specific In-depth understanding of DEIB principles, practices, and current trends within organizations. Knowledge of strategies to develop and sustain DEIB initiatives within an organization. Proficiency in using data to inform and drive DEIB initiatives, including understanding feedback loops. Ability to provide strategic direction and operational planning related to DEIB. Expertise in developing, maintaining, and improving DEIB training, initiatives, and resources. Skill in consulting and guiding revenue-generating work related to DEIB, such as educational programming and grants. Ability to leverage data and feedback to inform decisions and improve DEIB processes. Competence in managing multiple DEIB projects and initiatives simultaneously. Ability to act as a DEIB subject matter expert, providing input and guidance to leadership and advisory groups. Full Organization Ability to lead strategies at the highest levels, ensuring consistent and effective communication of the brand and goals to all internal and external stakeholders. Skilled in leading a culture of continuous improvement at the department level. Knowledge of best practices in leading communication strategies, ensuring that messages are clear, consistent, and effectively understood by all stakeholders.
