This is a role well suited to an ambitiousprofessional looking for the next step in your career. As a Staff Scientist you will be responsible for :
Utilizing your specialized chemistry and generalscientific knowledge and skills to lead several R&D projects developingstate of the art biosensor assays and accompanying processes for measurement ofanalytes in blood in a point of care setting.
Leading troubleshooting of complex scientificinvestigations and finding innovative solutions that keep Siemens’ new productdevelopment projects competitive with other industry players, on time, and onbudget.
Providing continuous technical leadership andcoaching, and being a role model to junior scientists through demonstration ofsubject matter expertise along with high scientific rigor and advanced criticalthinking.
Delivering regular written and oral projectupdates to R&D colleagues and program stakeholders, and completingdeliverables to support the product development process.
Collaborating closely with other R&D personnel andwith Manufacturing during the design transfer process.

Experience and knowledge of biosensors is highlydesirable.
Advanced technical leadership skills in an R&Dsetting, and demonstrated success leading small teams of scientists developingnew assays and processes.
Self-motivated, passionate about science, and significantproject experience showing an ability to influence others.
Proven problem-solving ability through the use of DOE,5Whys, Ishikawa techniques etc.
Innovation-oriented and constantly seeking ways toimprove processes and efficiencies.
A team mindset and excellence in open, transparentcommunication, and superior presentation skills.
Skills required for success in thisrole:
PhD in ascience related discipline.
8-10years’ experience in a science/technical capacity in a medical device orpharmaceutical industry is desirable.
Expertin Microsoft Excel, Minitab, and other data analysis applications.
Excellentteamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
