Specialty Clinician - Engagement

Riverside is seeking a passionate Engagement Clinician to join our Community Behavioral Health Center (CBHC) team! This is a unique opportunity to join a growing team of dedicated behavioral health professionals!

The CBHC Engagement Clinician provides clinical services to individuals post-intake awaiting assignment to an ongoing therapist. These services include brief therapeutic interventions, continued assessment including risks, triage of the waitlist, and group intervention. The Engagement Clinician is the primary link between intake and ongoing clinical treatment, and will facilitate connection between the leadership, intake team, and disposition teams.

Responsibilities include:

  • Complete all required clinical and administrative documentation in a timely fashion and maintains individual record files in accordance with quality assurance standards.

  • Serve as a “Bridge” clinician when an on-going clinician cannot be assigned within 14 days of the intake.

  • Provide direct therapeutic intervention or at minimum weekly check-ins for individuals who need the Bridge Clinician.

  • Develop service plans with persons served, including periodic reviews of treatment plan.

  • Facilitate group intervention and complete comprehensive assessments.

  • Provide crisis management for individuals on caseload and telehealth services as needed.

    Pay: $72,612/salaried

    Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours with a Monday through Friday schedule

Required Skills

  • Must be able to work as a member of a team and to function independently.

  • Must meet all requirements leading to an active professional license in the individual’s professional discipline, including, but not limited to, continuing education, ethical requirements, etc.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required.

  • Intermediate-Advanced computer fluency, including Microsoft Office and electronic health record system, required.

  • Emergency Services/Triage experience preferred.

Required Experience

  • M aster’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling required.

  • Independent licensure strongly preferred; independent license-eligibility within 1 year required.

  • At least 2 years of experience working in the behavioral health field required; at least 1 year in outpatient or similar program strongly preferred

  • Child and Adolescent Needs Assessment (CANS) certified
