Allied Universal Security Systems Administrator in Norwood, Massachusetts

Allied Universal® is hiring a Security Systems Administrator . The Systems Administrator will manage, control, support, and provide technical and managerial oversight for systems projects supporting the Global Security department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to system health monitoring, administrative programming, deploying system upgrades, new installations, integrations, data management, system functionality, compliance with department policies, and creating training programs for users within the department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage, control, support, and provide technical and managerial oversight for systems projects supporting the Global Security department
Perform system health monitoring, administrative programming, system upgrade deployments, manage new installations, integrations, data management, system functionality, while ensuring compliance with department policies
Create training programs for users within the department
Data management; responsible for metric gathering, ad hoc reporting, and generating data for project support
System programing, user profile maintenance, periodic audits, and data entry
Maintain successful collaboration and daily working relationship with DTE department
Research and find new up-to-date solutions as technology advances
Ensure technical specifications are kept up to date
Manage service calls and overall daily operations.
Mange CCTV systems including licensing and video wall management
Coordinate digital radio and repeater maintenance
Utilize excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with project staff, vendors, contractors; make recommendations for continuation of vendor contracts; negotiate rates and services
Deliver services applying the company’s CORE values
Support business development and account expansion
Understand and manage to project scope; provide recommendations for scope revision during bid/rebid scenarios
Be aware of and manage to contract specific requirements
Provide weekly status updates to next level manager to include accomplishments, activities in progress, planned and upcoming activities, status of deliverables, meetings/conferences/ presentations, issues/problems/questions, and support needed from manager or corporate
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must possess one or more of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study
Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study with a minimum of three (3) years of corporate-level project management experience
High school diploma with a minimum of five (5) years of corporate-level project management experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing a global, integrated, enterprise-wide security systems
Minimum of three (3) years project management experience
Experience with hosted systems like Social Media Monitoring, Traveler Tracker systems, Asset Monitoring, Visitor Management System, etc.
History of working openly and collaboratively with various departments providing outstanding customer service with accurate and timely status updates and reports.
Experience in use of Microsoft Office tools
Broad technical skills in IT systems and infrastructures
Proficiency with building monitoring systems (BMS) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
Ability to train others and formalize training programs
Superior documentation and presentation skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
Able to work a flexible schedule to accommodate international business hours
Able to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
Basic understanding of network technology
Self-driven and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and with a team
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within defined deadlines
Ability to learn new concepts quickly
Customer service skills by aiding customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
Cultural awareness and sensitivity
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Specific experience with integrated security systems like Software House/cCure, Everbridge, Victor Client, Alertus, etc.
