Description:

Maintenance & Support:

• Support Customer Service department.

• Lead troubleshooting efforts for fielded systems.

• Investigate embedded software issues, including software defects and performance bottlenecks.

• Develop reliable and robust solutions to correct existing issues.

Embedded Development:

• Bare Metal & Linux environment.

• Maintain, design, develop, and test embedded software systems for various applications.

• Write code for microcontrollers, microprocessors, and hardware components.

Requirements and Design Analysis:

• Gather, analyze, and write clear and achievable software requirements with stakeholders.

• Create designs based on approved software requirements.

Coding and Debugging:

• Write efficient and reliable code considering real-time constraints and resource limitations.

• Debug and troubleshoot software-related issues for optimal performance.

Documentation and Collaboration:

• Prepare technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Work closely with hardware, firmware, and quality assurance teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Performance Optimization and Security:

• Optimize software performance, power consumption, and memory usage.

• Implement security measures to protect embedded systems from threats.

Skills & Qualifications:

-Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering

• 5-10 years of experience in embedded software development, debugging, and troubleshooting

• Proficiency in C/C++ programming

• Python or similar scripting language

• Configuration and change management systems (GIT, JIRA)

• Experience with requirements management (DOORS)
