KELLY SERVICES IS RECRUITING FOR ASSEMBLERS FOR ONE OF OUR CLIENTS BASED OUT OF NORWOOD, MA.

  • M-F 7:30 am - 4 pm

  • $17/hr.

  • Temp to Perm role

  • MUST BE VACCINATED

Assembly of electrical cables, wiring harnesses, and related items

Perform simple to complex cable and/or wire harness assembly in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and design data or work instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Read Instructions such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.

  • Use Various hand tools and power-assisted assembly tools such as solder irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.

  • May operate automatic and semiautomatic assembly equipment and machinery. Select, Cut, and Mark Wires of specified color, marking, or length.

  • Wire Prep Tinning, Wrap Ties Wires to form harness.

  • Install electrical connector pins and contacts.

  • Install terminals and contacts to ends of wires.

  • Insert or install to components, plugs or terminal strips.

  • Visually inspects parts to standards.

  • Report nonconforming material to immediate supervisor.

  • Install heat-shrink, expandable or other sleeving as required.

  • Application of sealant.

  • Marking Labeling with identifying data on completed assemblies.

  • Work instruction understanding.

  • Log in and out of work orders using a computer system.

  • Maintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the area neat and organized.

  • Perform different/various manufacturing-related tasks as may be assigned

  • Quality-oriented, organized, with high attention to detail.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic Math Skills: Addition, Subtraction, Counting, Measuring

  • Comprehend & Follow Written & Verbal Instructions, Short Correspondence, Memos

  • Read Instructions such as work orders, diagrams, and wire lists to determine materials needed and sequence of assembly.

  • Use Various hand tools and power-assisted assembly tools such as solder irons, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers.

  • Meet State/Federal Age Requirements for Employment in Manufacturing Close Vision, Color Vision

  • Legal Authorization to work in the USA

  • Sit/Stand one area for several hours at a time, Lift up to 25 lbs on regular basis, 50 lbs on occasion
