Clean Harbors Financial Analyst in Norwell, Massachusetts

Clean Harbors is looking to hire a Financial Analyst that will transform complex datasets into actionable insights. The Analyst will collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements, extract and manipulate data and develop meaningful visualizations and reports.

· Data Collection and Integration : Gathering data from various sources within the organization (databases, ERP systems, etc.) and external sources. Ensuring data quality and integrating data sets for comprehensive analysis.

· Data Analysis and Interpretation : Using statistical methods, data visualization techniques, and business acumen to analyze large datasets. Identifying trends, patterns, and correlations that provide actionable insights for decision-making.

· Reporting and Dashboarding : Creating reports, dashboards, and data visualizations (such as charts, graphs, and tables) to communicate findings to stakeholders. These reports often highlight key performance indicators (KPIs) and help track progress towards business goals.

· Business Requirements Gathering : Collaborating closely with stakeholders (managers, executives, department heads) to understand their informational needs and strategic objectives. Translating these requirements into technical specifications for building ad-hoc reports and queries, ensuring data is extracted, transformed, and presented effectively to meet immediate decision-making needs.

· Continuous Monitoring and Optimization : Monitoring key metrics and performance indicators regularly to identify anomalies or areas needing improvement. Recommending and implementing changes to improve business processes based on data-driven insights.

· Collaboration and Communication : Collaborating with cross-functional teams including IT, finance, and operations to understand their data needs and provide support. Effectively communicating findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.

· Stay Updated on BI Trends : Keeping up with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in business intelligence and data analytics. Implementing new tools or methodologies to enhance BI capabilities within the organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience

  • Experience in Power BI and SQL preferred

• Able to maintain confidentiality and to prioritize between multiple tasks

• Ability to interface and collaborate with people throughout the company on a regular basis

• Must be highly organized

• Strong presentation skills

• Attention to detail
