Clean Harbors Central Route Planner in Norwell, Massachusetts

The Central Route Planner partners with field teams to plan, reschedule, and optimize weekly service delivery plans. Route Planners use routing software and geography-based scheduling templates to find route solutions, while working in a complex and dynamic operations environment.

  • Plans routes for multiple environmental services locations every week

  • Understands complex service delivery operations in a highly regulated industry

  • Adapts routes to accommodate service disruptions i.e. PTO, equipment issues, emergency call-in services

  • Maintains scheduling templates within an order management system

  • Evaluates route efficiency with local leadership to improve routing metrics

  • Participates in region and district meetings as the area’s routing expert

  • Completes daily, weekly, and monthly route planning tasks that optimize service delivery

  • Gains high level understanding of all systems and routing software

  • Assists in service territory maintenance within a geographical territory

  • Performs other duties and tasks to meet Clean Harbors’ business needs

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management preferred but not required

  • Experience in the environmental industry preferred but not required

  • Experience with route planning and order management preferred but not required

  • Adaptability in a complex operations environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software. (Primarily Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to create and deliver presentations to senior management

  • Detailed oriented and achievement driven

  • Committed and dependable

  • Self-starting and independent
