Clean Harbors Accounting Manager in Norwell, Massachusetts
Clean Harbors, located in Norwell MA, is seeking an Accounting Manager to join their Corporate Accounting team. Clean Harbors is the leading provider of environmental and industrial services throughout North America with annual sales exceeding $5 billion. Reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounting, the candidate will engage and communicate with key senior executives (i.e. Controller, CFO) on various accounting and finance matters
Oversee month-end close process to ensure results are reported accurately and timely
Maintain and report on judgmental accounting estimates monthly
Prepare and review reconciliations of balance sheet accounts that are more complex in nature
Post and review monthly journal entries
Act as a primary point of contact with external and internal auditors during annual audits and quarterly reviews
Provide coaching and development to other team members
Participate in the preparation of footnotes for inclusion in SEC filings
Participate in the annual budget/monthly forecast process
Opportunities to participate in strategic projects supporting other parts of the business and subject to greater visibility across the organization
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or CPA in process preferred
5+ years in public accounting or public / private mix
Driven self-starter possessing critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Hard working, forward-thinking individual looking to further their career at a company with multiple growth opportunities
Effective communication and teambuilding skills combined with an ability to manage multiple on-going tasks
Experience in Oracle ERP a plus
