ManpowerGroup Telecom Field Technician in Norton, Massachusetts

Our client, a leader in the telecommunications industry, is seeking a Telecom Field Technician to join their team. As a Telecom Field Technician, you will be part of the technical support team, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of network operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Telecom Field Technician

Location: Norton, MA (Central/Northern Maine preferred)

What's the Job?

  • Conduct network triage and alarm assessments to ensure optimal performance.

  • Complete preventative maintenance (PM) on cell sites to prevent outages.

  • Resolve network outages efficiently to minimize downtime.

  • Stay current with technical theory and application related to telecommunications.

  • Engage in project-related efforts, providing clear communication as directed.

What's Needed?

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in telecommunications.

  • Familiarity with Ericsson cell site hardware and systems.

  • Ericsson cell site hardware-BB6630, BB6648, BB6651.

  • Ericsson 6102, 6160, B160 cabinets.

  • Cell site routing – SAR-M SAS MXP, SAS.

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, including AC and DC power.

  • Experience with fiber and Ethernet technologies.

  • Solid understanding of project management and network design principles.
