Additional information about the Northampton Site: Our state-of-the-art facility was built in 2011 and showcases the manufacturing area in the center of the building, bringing focus and attention to our mission-critical products and manufacturing talent. The L3Harris manufacturing area includes; temperature and humidity controlled assembly areas, ESD sensitive floors, DOD Secret cleared rooms, a Test and Integration tower, Optical and Laser test ranges, Environmental and Qualification Test capabilities, Hydrostatic pressure test systems, an anechoic test chamber, 1,800 sq ft of clean room space for FOD-sensitive optical assembly, and more! The facility also features an open-office work environment and a full-service eat-in café!

Job Description: Responsible for performing audits and tests of software products in accordance with software test plans and procedures. Uses functional area tools to support software development and/or software test and integration systems. Debugs and characterizes defects, providing detailed configuration and descriptions for passing and failing tests for test reports. Maintains documentation of test operations and reports results to engineering. Identifies actual or potential problems in test plans or company products.

Essential Functions:

  • Verification of Software test documentation

  • Performance of software testing.

  • Verify software build procedures, to produce Configuration Status Accounting(CSA) records.

  • Perform the role of Software Design Assurance(SDA) ensuring documents are correctly reviewed, through technical and stakeholder reviews.

  • Write Software Users Manuals(SUMs) when needed.

  • Produce software white papers to support the Jurisdiction Classification Assessment

  • Identify software Bugs and document their characteristics by producing Software Change Requests(SCR)

    Qualifications:

  • Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience

  • Computer troubleshooting knowledge

  • A working understanding of computer networking

  • A working understanding of the Windows operating system

  • Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills

  • Familiarity with Software and/or Computing technologies

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Knowledge of Software program(s): IBM DOORS

  • Some computer programming experience

  • A working understanding of the Linux operating system

  • Meets eligibility requirements to access US classified information.
