Cafeteria Substitute Location: School, Northampton, MA 01060 Department: School Job Status: Part-Time Days: Mon., Tue., Wed., Thu., Fri. DEFINITION The Northampton Public Schools is seeking Cafeteria Substitutes! Food preparation, service and cleanup work at six City schools. Light recordkeeping. Other duties as requested or assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS All duties required to assist in the preparation, cleanup and maintenance of the food service program at the six public schools. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience - High School diploma or equivalent. Some food service experience desirable but not required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to walk, stand and bend over for periods of time, ability to walk and carry trays up to 20 lbs. at the same time. Ability to withstand being around high temperatures. MISC. INFORMATION Location varies as needed. 3-5 hours per day on school days. Hourly Pay rate: \$15.00 There are no benefits with this position. If Hired: Must have acceptable MA CORI and SAFIS Fingerprint Background Checks prior to start of employment. Provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or qualify for medical or religious exemption per the Northampton Association of School Employees (NASE) Collective Bargaining Agreement.
