Job Description:

Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Serving Northampton and Nearby Communities

Primary Responsibilities of the Behavioral Health RN

As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, you’ll provide essential care to patients and support their families, guiding them through each stage of their care journey.

  • Patient Assessments & Care Plans: Conduct initial and follow-up evaluations of physical, psychosocial, and environmental needs; develop and implement tailored care plans.

  • Coordinated Care Delivery: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to adjust care plans and deliver holistic, patient-focused care.

  • Patient & Family Education: Provide guidance to patients, families, and care teams on behavioral health practices, symptom management, and safety measures.

  • Leadership & Oversight: Supervise LPNs and behavioral health aides, ensuring adherence to care standards and organizational policies.

  • Safety & Compliance: Identify and report significant health or environmental changes to the Clinical Supervisor and care team, updating plans as necessary.

  • Compassionate End-of-Life Support: Offer emotional and practical support for patients and families during end-of-life care, including bereavement resources.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN license in the state.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience; expertise in behavioral health, home health, or hospice is a plus.

  • Mobility: Comfortable traveling within the service area (up to 50%); must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance.

  • Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred.

  • Tech Skills: Familiarity with Homecare HomeBase software is an advantage.
