Opportunity Overview:

We are looking for a Test Engineer that epitomizes technical and operational excellence.

You will work simultaneously on projects in different phases. You must be able to demonstrate strong debugging, troubleshooting, validation and defect analysis skills in addition to the understanding of mechanics of ongoing operational excellence and product support.

You are responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

  • You will be a key member supporting the engineering labs and final review of customer systems.

  • Develop a process with engineering to support instruments and systems prior to shipment.

  • Work concurrently with the Design Engineers and Product Engineers.

  • Investigate, troubleshoot analyze yield issues and provide concise Pareto’s and yield analysis reports during prototype and production builds to resolve issues and improve yields.

  • Interface with suppliers, design engineering, board test and manufacturing team to achieve desired improvement goals.

  • Help to develop test station procedures, preventative maintenance plans and troubleshooting guides to support onsite production.

  • Investigate and introduce new manufacturing test technology and methodology to enhance production efficiency.

  • Maintain the functionality and equipment calibration for engineering and customer systems.

  • Execute system level tests and debug any system failures.

  • Work closely with Program Managers to develop and implement product schedules and calibration/test plans.

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing/operations of electronic devices.

  • Proven experience with defining, developing and implementing manufacturing test strategy for new products.

  • Experience with reviewing hardware designs to define test coverage to ensure products are built free of manufacturing defects.

  • Must have ability to work on cross-functional teams and independently and to communicate with all levels of management.

  • Must be able to find creative ways to resolve problems using project management skills.

  • Recognition of when a problem must be escalated is also critical.

  • Deep understanding of DFT and DFM methods.

  • Preferred NPI Test engineering experience.

  • Preferred experience with production quality metrics such as Lean manufacturing.

  • Preferred C/C++/C# software programming experience a plus.
