On the Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics (FTR) team, we build dynamic partnerships between people and intelligent machines. The Robotic Movement team owns the core cloud and in-warehouse software system responsible for the robotic fleet management and equipment control of Amazon Robotics mobile robots in fulfillment and sortation centers. Our organization owns a suite of services which collectively orchestrate robotic work planning, scheduling, resource management, navigation, and execution for over 750,000 Amazon Robotics mobile robots. Our teams’ ongoing development aims to enable the rapid evolution of the core Amazon Robotics mobile robot platform to new use cases, and optimize the safety, efficiency, and operational experience of existing ones.

We are looking for a Senior Software Technical Program Manager (TPM) within our Robotic Movement Team. Hybrid remote role out of our North Reading, MA Robotics Development Center.

As a Sr TPM on the Robotic Movement team, you will work on large scale initiatives driving complex cross-functional projects across different Robotic Movement teams and Autonomous mobility teams across Amazon. You will be working with senior leaders in the organization to take new ideas from concept to delivery. You will work across the Ops Robotics teams to share the Robotic Movement team vision, partner with Amazon Robotic vehicles teams and OEM vehicle vendors to create deliver general purpose Robotic Movement and Robotic Fleet Management solutions to serve Amazon business needs. As Sr TPM you will mentor other TPM’s and also drive major programs at Amazon Robotics.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
