Teradyne is seeking an experienced, Senior Product Marketing Manager to assist in driving our business, with input to engineering, our PLA differentiation, and into engineering to support sales growth and product profitability.
Our target market verticals include Computing/Communications, Automotive, Industrial/Defense end markets, targeting both OEM/Fabless and Contract Manufacturer end-customer accounts.
As a global leader in semiconductor, wireless & assembly test, and robotic / autonomous systems, the role will support multiple Teradyne business unit solutions into our common customers.
The ideal candidate will possess at a minimum:
A degree in computer, electrical, software or systems engineering;
Work experience in the domain of their engineering degree;
An MBA degree;
10+ years in product management or product marketing of complex electronic or electro-mechanical systems
Opportunity Overview
The role involves collaborating and working with multiple teams – product management, marketing, engineering, sales, finance and operations. This role requires engagement and skills with:
• Teradyne Sales & Product Management to support design-in opportunities and support pre-sales activities
• Teradyne Engineering for new product concept, development, and deployment efforts
• Teradyne Operations to help manage new product introduction, slot plan and product life cycle management to assist with end-of-life management & obsolescence
• Teradyne Finance to track revenue plans, maximize profitability, and limit potential inventory write-off exposure
• Support analysis to develop and drive product and sales plans, and assist in developing and presenting Production Board Test mid-term plan
• Identify technical market trends and emerging customers in the Americas, Europe and Asia
• Aid market share growth plan participating in strategic design-in activities
• Develop competitive and differentiation collateral; assist with training of sales and service engineers and managers
• Assist with product management of TestStation and Nano test systems
• Develop product and package pricing strategy
• Develop strategic customer relationships with new / break-in customers
• Assist with negotiating account master terms & contract documents and discount policies
All About You
• 10+ years of marketing and/or product management experience with capital equipment, electronics related sales and /or electronic test topics
• Strong technical background required; strong analytical skills; demonstrated experience in engineering.
• People management or team lead in design an advantage.
• This position requires a person with strong leadership, analytical, synthesis and integration skills. This role will require an extensive amount of integrating and visibility across all functions of the business and at all levels.
• Travel of 20 – 30% to be expected (domestic and international)
Education
• BS, preferably in electrical, computing or systems engineering
• MBA strongly preferred
