Meeting Street MA Inc Special Education Teacher in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts

Duties: Plans and implements motivating and creative age-appropriate activities to address goals as outlined in each students IEP including vocational opportunities, community-based learning experiences, MA curriculum frameworks, and service learning projects. Collaborates with other teachers and therapists to implement an integrated educational/therapeutic model. Develops lesson plans, progress reports, and IEPs within specified timelines as directed. When scheduled, performs MCAS alternate assessments. Meeting Street believes the dignity of each person is paramount. Valid Certification from the MA Department of Education as a Special Education Teacher. Valid Certification in Severe/Profound disabilities OR Mild/Moderate disabilities with willingness to pursue Severe/Profound disabilities certification (tuition reimbursement offered). A minimum of 2-3 years teaching experience, with prior experience working with children. with and without disabilities in an inclusive environment preferred. Knowledge of MA Curriculum Frameworks and MCAS alternate assessments. Current CPR and First Aid certification.
