State of Massachusetts Residential Supervisor I in North Andover, Massachusetts

*This position is located in North Andover* The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) would like to announce the availability of a full-time Residential Supervisor I position working in the Northeast Region for Northeast Residential Services. This position is responsible for the overall day to day management of the group home including supervision of all staff and individuals as assigned. _Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_ * Will coordinate, implement, and supervise the administrative and clinical operations of the home, including residential program development. * Provide staff training and assess individuals’ needs, abilities, and resources to develop therapeutic programs in community living skills, participate in the interdisciplinary team, coordinate and participate in Individual Service Plan implementation. * Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment * Ensure the provision of appropriate individuals' services as indicated in Individual Service Plans * Implement and/or ensure compliance of policies, regulations, and procedures. * Promote principles of normalization and dignity and provide for the welfare of individuals by making personnel recommendations for hiring and promoting staff. * Supervise and evaluate support staff and maintain adequate staffing patterns. * Develop, implement, and maintain data collection and records. * Monitor and evaluate the physical operation and maintenance of the residence and monitor residential budgets, maintain individuals’ funds; assist individuals with expenditures and money management. * Act as a liaison to adjunct personnel, ensures effective communication between staff and performs related work as required. _About the Agency: _ The Department of Developmental Services is dedicated to creating, in partnership with others, innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate fully and meaningfully in, and contribute to, their communities as valued members. _Pre-Hire Process:_ Recommended candidates must successfully complete pre-employment screening which includes: * Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC) Abuse Registry Search: * Criminal background check (CORI) by regulations set forth by the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. * National Background Checks, Chapter 234 of the Acts of 2014, conduct fingerprint-based check. Thismeans that whenever the Governor declares that the Commonwealth is in a state of emergency, you will be required to report to work. All State employees are paid bi-weekly through Direct Deposit. Listed salary ranges are for one full year at current contracted rates. First consideration will be given to those applicants that apply within the first 14 days. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: At least (A) three (3) years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, experience in counseling, guidance, teaching, or therapeutic services for individuals with developmental disabilities and/or chronic mental illness, of which at least (B) one (1) year must have been in either a supervisory or leadership capacity, or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions. SUBSTITUTIONS: - A Bachelor's degree in social work, rehabilitation, psychology, sociology, human services, education of people with physical and/or learning disabilities may be substituted for two (2) years of the required (A) experience. - A Master's or higher degree social work, rehabilitation, psychology, sociology, human services or education of people with physical and/or learning disabilities may be substituted for the required (A) experience.
