Adult Basic Education Curriculum Committee Member This position is for the school year only. The Curriculum Committee Member will be responsible for collaboratively creating scope and sequence documents and thematic curriculum maps for both ELA and math for the Adult Basic Education Program. This work will happen both in-person and via Zoom. This position works closely with both the Director of Adult Basic Education and the Curriculum Development Consultant. Location: Drury High School Hours per day: 3-5 Days per week: 1-2 Flexible schedule based on program timeline Stipend amount: $2,000.00 Anticipated start date: January 17, 2022. Requirements: Knowledgeable in the CCRSAE Standards Experience coaching teachers on implementation of units of instruction Understands the principles of adult learning Experience writing scope and sequence documents and /or thematic units Physical Requirements: The position requires a moderate amount of walking, standing, sitting and climbing stairs and step stool whenever necessary. Activities also include moderate physical exertion in body movement such as reaching, bending, twisting, grasping, pushing, and pulling of objects. The position requires lifting objects of 20 pounds on a frequent basis, and over 20 pounds occasionally. There is a frequent requirement of fine manipulation associated with the required use of a computer, typewriter, keyboard, calculator, and other business machines. Environmental Conditions: The occupant is required to work indoors. The regular chemical solvents are toners, inks, and cleaning fluids.
