Description We are inviting applications for the role of an Accounting Specialist in the food and food processing industry, situated in Norfolk, Massachusetts, 02056, United States. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity where you will be primarily handling accounts receivable and payable, processing a high volume of invoices, and managing data entry tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage accounts receivable and payable functions

• Efficiently process a high volume of invoices on a weekly basis

• Execute data entry tasks with accuracy and precision

• Handle weekly and monthly orders ensuring timely completion

• Responsible for keying in vendor credits accurately

• Use intermediate excel skills for managing and processing data

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) for various accounting functions

• Monitor and manage customer accounts, resolving any inquiries that may arise

• Use the AS400 system for billing functions and maintaining accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems

• Ability to handle various Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Billing Functions

• Proficiency in AS400 is necessary

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Knowledge of food and food processing industry is a plus.
