Sr Electrical Engineer

We are currently looking for an ambitious Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Endovascular Robotics business within Advanced Therapies . We are a global technology leader in robotic-assisted vascular interventions. We believe the combination of endovascular robotics, image guidance and dedicated devices will change the way neurovascular procedures will be done in the future, enabling better outcomes, and enabling our customers to provide better access to care.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Responsible for electrical engineering activities in all phases from specification and design to implementation and monitoring and execution of verification/validation in compliance with QMS.

  • Responsible for research, analyses, and down-selection of solutions for electrical system designs.

  • Responsible for managing technical activities for assigned projects and design integration with electro-mechanical and software systems.

  • Ensures application of EE fundamentals. Implements best practices in design methodologies, development processes and tools.

  • Applies strong analytical and problem-solving methodologies including modeling and simulations. Ensures design robustness and reliability, through analyses, and tests.

  • Coaches and provides guidance for other electrical engineers on the team.

  • Project Management responsibilities may include vendor and supplier management, directing design and test technician resources, developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets.

This position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below:

  • You have architected electrical systems with good design practices

  • You have demonstrated experience with electronic design for motor control and mixed-signal electronic design for precise sensing applications

  • You are highly proficient in the use of electrical CAD tools, Altium preferred

  • You possess working knowledge of EMC and electrical safety

  • You have demonstrated analytical skills with proficiency in analytical tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and Spice

  • Working knowledge of reading and creating hardware-level C code and developing hardware interface drivers and libraries

  • You have excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal skills with the ability to self-direct and have some project management skills

  • You are committed to continuous improvement

  • You have experience developing medical devices in a regulatory environment, applying standards such as ISO and IEC

Required skills to have for the success of this role:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required, advanced degrees preferred

  • 7+ years of experience in R&D or product development, at least 4 years on medical device development required

  • Willing to travel up to 10%

Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
