Bright Horizons Lead Mobile Application Developer - Hybrid in Newton, Massachusetts

We are seeking an experienced Lead Mobile Applications Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Mobile Applications Developer , you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge mobile applications. Your expertise in Ionic , Capacitor , Angular , and Hybrid Mobile Development will be essential in driving innovation and ensuring high-quality user experiences. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Similarly, the ideal candidate is an expert engineer who values the "team", drives continuous improvement and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative solutions.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and scope.

  • Lead the development of mobile applications using Ionic, Capacitor and Angular frameworks.

  • Architect and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable code.

  • Optimize application performance and ensure seamless user experiences.

  • Integrate with backend services and APIs, leveraging the knowledge of Azure Cloud services.

  • Work together with the Product Development team to plan new features.

  • Oversee the compliance of apps with established quality standards.

  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.

  • Find and suggest new mobile products, applications, and protocols.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

What we hope you will bring to the role:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, Engineering, or related field - Required

7 years of experience in mobile application development - Required

Additional Job Requirements

  • Proficiency in iOS and Android development using hybrid tech stack Ionic, Capacitor or Cordova.

  • Proficiency in Angular, Java Script and Type Script

  • Strong understanding of Hybrid Mobile Development principles.

  • Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming.

  • Experience with Azure Cloud services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, APIM etc..

  • Understanding and insight into CI/CD tools such as ADO, GitHub, and publishing applications to the App Store and Google Play Store

  • Understanding of native iOS & Android development

  • Understanding of UX/UI design principles.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a team.

  • Passion for creating innovative and user-friendly mobile applications.
