Spindrift IT Systems Manager in Newton, Massachusetts

We are looking for an IT Systems Manager based out of the Newton, MA office who will be responsible for directing the company’s business systems operations. This includes evaluating, implementing, and providing ongoing support for enterprise business platforms including ERP, EDI, Trade Promotion Management, eCommerce, Reporting and all connected platforms within the environment.

This role will be primary liaison with outsourced IT vendor partners and company business stakeholders for areas including system implementation, integration, monitoring, incident management and cybersecurity. The IT Systems Manager must be a thought leader for technology, exhibit excellent customer service and problem-solving, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You will:

  • Be responsible for day to day operations of IT business system landscape at Spindrift. This includes understanding the current architecture, having the appropriate tools & processes to monitor for potential issues, and organizing the appropriate organizational responses to resolve.

  • Partner with all business stakeholders on enhancements and projects to business systems, while also leading strategic IT roadmap initiatives on behalf of the organization.

  • Collaborate with the departments & teams to ensure business systems adhere to Spindrift security and compliance standards

  • Manage vendor relationships for all IT business systems and processes

  • Create and maintain internal documentation and processes

  • Plan, prioritize, and deliver system enhancements; executing unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements

  • Assist with release testing for major version upgrades

  • Periodically audit user access levels and license usage to improve application security and control SaaS spend

  • Serve as people manager for in-house team of one, which may expand as business grows

Requirements

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience supporting business systems within enterprise organizations

  • 2+ years supporting a NetSuite ERP environment

  • Experience integrating SaaS environments with iPaaS platforms (Celigo, Boomi, etc)

  • Experience supporting managed EDI implementations

  • Experience supporting sales Trade Promotion Management systems & processes

  • Experience supporting Business Intelligence platforms a plus

  • Strong problem solving & technical skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical end-users.

  • Experience leading small to medium sized projects from requirements gathering to go-live.

  • Demonstrated ability to concurrently manage multiple projects.

  • You want to work in a fast, high growth startup environment, and are comfortable operating within the ambiguity associated with such an environment.
