Spindrift FP&A Analyst in Newton, Massachusetts

We’re looking for an FP&A Analyst to join our FP&A team and be a part of the biggest small brand in beverage. Reporting to the FP&A Director, the FP&A Analyst role will provide analytical support to the Finance and Operations team in order to drive action and superior business performance. The FP&A Analyst will be tasked with investigating trends, understanding variances to plan, improve reporting processes, and conveying results when it comes to all Spindrift product platforms.

Analysis

  • Take the lead in building and managing financial models for budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning related to COGS and inventory

  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to provide effective analysis of margin trends and variance reporting

  • Enhance monthly & quarterly internal and external reporting, including driving insightful analyses to explain trends and any variance to plans

  • Support monthly close process through close partnership with the broader Finance and Operations team

  • Help to identify key trends and potential risks & opportunities across the business

  • Assist in creation of ad-hoc analyses for cross functional leaders and management

Problem Solving

  • Collaborate with Finance and Sales leaders to analyze business performance metrics and identify opportunities and optimization

  • Support the Innovation team with ad hoc analysis and deep dives, forming clear, actionable data driven insights to help drive business decisions

  • Determine solutions to business opportunities and put into motion the right course of action to win

  • Demonstrate leadership and be a consulting partner to business unit directors

  • Improve current workflow by studying current practices and designing modifications

Essential Functions

  • Produce and present analysis and findings via monthly reporting packages for Sparkling and Spiked business leaders

  • Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks

  • Proactively communicate key learnings from data analysis and actions with internal stakeholders

  • Manage small to medium-sized internal systems/application development projects within assigned areas from inception to successful implementation

  • Update analysis summaries on a cadenced basis for business managers

  • Responsibilities will fluctuate between regular, planned activities (70%) and ad hoc analysis (30%)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

  • 3-5 years in FP&A / corporate finance / investment banking / supply chain management

  • Extraordinary Excel / PowerPoint / financial modeling skills

  • Must be a proactive & highly organized self-starter, able to work independently and under tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication / collaboration skills required; role involves building strong relationships across the organization

  • Industry experience in CPG preferred

  • NetSuite or similar ERP system experience preferred

  • Experience managing and building Business Intelligence (Tableau) preferred

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work in an open floor plan office in Newton, MA four days a week
