Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician Job Summary: An Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on various systems to minimize downtime and ensure the efficient operation of production processes. Responsibilities: Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of industrial machinery to identify and address potential issues. Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and longevity. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner. Troubleshooting: Identify the root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions. Collaborate with other team members to address complex technical problems. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections. Update equipment manuals and documentation as needed. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment. Participate in safety training programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations. Collaboration: Coordinate with production and operations teams to minimize downtime and optimize workflow. Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other maintenance staff. Upkeep of Tools and Equipment: Ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and calibrated. Report any faulty tools or equipment for timely replacement or repair. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest enhancements to increase efficiency. Stay informed about advancements in maintenance technology and techniques. Knowledge of Ammonia refrigeration is a plus. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance is a plus. Proven experience as an industrial maintenance technician or a related field. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC/hydraulic systems Proficiency in using hand and power tools. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (lift up to 100lbs, carry up to 50lbs). Comfort working in confined spaces or at heights. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
