Description Lead Recovery Specialist Program & Location: SEMCOA\'s Harmony House, New Bedford Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) & leadership experience Pay Range: \$20-25/hr depending on experience Status: Per Diem Schedule: Per Diem - not assigned to any specific schedule or number of hours. Can be called to work on an unpredictable or as needed basis. Lead Recovery Specialist Requirements Must present as courteous and professional at all times Demonstrated flexibility and ability to perform multiple tasks Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to organize ideas in logical and clear fashion Proficient and knowledge of basic computer skills and software programs including the ability to learn, use and train HPAO`s electronic medical records Must have the ability to work with others in cooperative and collaborative manner An understanding of the relationship between substance use and mental health issues and/or self-help programs Understand and maintain appropriate boundaries and ethics Comply with Federal Regulations, 42 CFR Part 2, Substance Abuse Confidentiality Regulations and HIPAA Regulations Certification in the HPAO approved de-escalation program CPR Certification TB/Flu and Covid-19 Assessment Lead Recovery Specialist Duties & Responsibilities Performs and ensures completion of staff training, orientation for Recovery Specialists on staff Provides assistance to Clinical Supervisor and Program Director in all areas of recruitment and onboarding of Recovery Specialist staff, when requested Provides leadership in facilitating the monthly RS Meeting Understanding emergency procedures and codes; participating in de-briefing meetings Ensure all areas in residential home are safe and secure and immediately report areas of non-compliance to Clinical Supervisor and Program Director Ensure residents are adhering to house policies and rules and encourage resident to take accountability for their actions Participate in setting a professional, positive and therapeutic atmosphere for the milieu and act as role model to other staff Observation and accounting of residents at all times insuring safety (hourly checks) as well as documentation Monitoring and documenting compliance to wellness check policy with tracking log for camera review Perform resident searches of rooms, property and person in a professional manner that adheres to company policy (Include UDS, Breathalyzer, Hand Held Wand, etc.) Manages and maintains all supporting documentation and reporting, including, but not limited to, Medication Logs, Temperature Logs, Visitors Log, Sign-In and Sign-Out Log, group notes and attendance sheets, and ad hoc reports as requested by Clinical Supervisor or Program Director Process new Residents, perform bed management, input resident data into EHR, search property and resident for contraband Observe and document resident self-administration of medication Train new staff to procedures and policies related to medication self-administration and other RS tasks Attend all supervision, program, and staff meetings as directed by Program Director or the Clinical Supervisor Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director or the Clinical Supervisor Lead Recovery Specialist Qualifications Minimum of High School Degree or GED preferred Minimum of one year experience in leadership role
