Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in New Bedford, Massachusetts

Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: New Bedford, MA

Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Review and verify invoices and check requests.

  • Sort, code, and match invoices.

  • Set invoices up for payment and process electronic transfers and payments.

  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.

  • Maintain vendor files and correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.

  • Assist with month-end closing and provide supporting documentation for audits.

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and prepare analysis of accounts.

Qualifications :

  • Proven working experience in accounts payable or accounting field.

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
