Job Title: Line Chef

Job Description

Searching for an experienced chef to prepare breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner entrees at a college dining facility. Responsibilities include cleaning the kitchen post-prep and serving, safely storing or discarding excess food, assisting in the ordering and receiving of food supplies, and maintaining excellent relationships with coworkers and the student body.

Qualifications

• 1 year Cooking experience in a restaurant or professional setting

• Basic knife skills such as chopping, dicing, slicing, and cutting

• Knowledge of safe food handling procedures

• Experience working in a restaurant environment is preferred.

• Reliability

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to interact positively with students and faculty

Hours:

Morning, Mid-day, and Evening shifts available

Work Environment

Work in a vibrant college setting at a private college's main dining hall with buffet style and made-to-order dishes, a retail area in the student center, various campus locations with grab-and-go offerings and coffee shops, and an on-campus pub.
