Hospital Based Emergency Services Clinician

$2,000 Sign-On Bonus: $1,000 at hire and $1,000 after you complete 6 months of service.

Excellent opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Full Time Hospital Based Emergency Services Clinician!

The Hospital-based Emergency Services Clinician will be primarily dedicated to and located at the Emergency Department of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Needham. The Hospital-based Emergency Services Clinician position is a unique partnership between Riverside Community Care and BID Needham, aimed at exploring diversionary options and helping reduce barriers for patients who are otherwise supported in the Emergency Department until appropriate services are identified.

Other duties of the Hospital Based Emergency Services Clinician include:

  • Develop care plans for frequent utilizers of the Emergency Department.

  • Assist Emergency Department staff develop and utilize safety plans and strategies when necessary.

  • Meet with patients to provide care navigation support, such as evaluation for the appropriate level of care, or coordination care with patient providers.

  • Provide all services in accordance with Riverside policies, regulations, and standards, all applicable BID Needham rules, policies, regulations, standards, and all applicable State and/or Federal laws and regulations

Required Skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required

  • Advanced computer fluency including Microsoft Office required

  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required for limited local travel

Required Experience

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Mental health discipline required

  • LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW required

  • Four years of experience in the field of mental health/Social Services required

  • Two years of experience in Emergency Services Programs, Hospital Social Work and/or other related Levels of Care preferred

  • Knowledge of CBHI Services preferred
