About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the Soldier & Chem Bio R & S Directorate, Soldier PSID. Working closely with Product manager - Field Sustainment Systems (PM-FSS). Responsibilities The Incumbent of this position will serve as a Team Leader of a multifunctional team responsible for the system oriented program management of assigned systems/materiel throughout the life cycle. Assign, oversee and review the work of team members. Identify team/resource requirements. Submit engineering change proposals. Establish, interpret and implement policies and procedures. Provide for integration of organization hardware/software requirements. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Leading teams or programs/projects; 2) Negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations; 3) Managing costs, identifying resource requirements and monitoring operations to improve logistics support time; and 4) Conducting analysis of logistics support plans, programs and systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Leadership Planning and Evaluating Project Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone-no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. All requirements for Data Analytics level one (1) certification must be met within 12 months of being placed on the position.
