Milford Regional Medical Center Stroke Program Manager in Milford, Massachusetts
20 hours days, Monday through Friday 8 am to 12 noon, no weekend and Holidays
Job Summary
The Stroke Program Manager is an expert clinician who supports, manages, and coordinates systems related to acute stroke and TIA care delivery. In collaboration with the Stroke Medical Director, Director of Quality, Patient Safety and Experience, and the Quality Specialist, the Stroke Program Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of the stroke program as well as the management and education of current evidence-based practices related to stroke care and prevention. The Stroke Program Manager acts as a liaison between providers, nursing staff, allied health professionals, patients, and their families. The Stroke Program Manager supports patients, assisting them in navigating through the care process. Lastly, the Stroke Program Manager participates in the QA/QI process including the development of improvement initiatives for the program.
Qualifications
- Education:
Graduate from an advanced degree program in nursing (APRN) or physician assistant (PA) required
- Certification / License:
MA Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) licensure required
Board certified or Board eligible as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant preferred
NIHSS training required or achieved within three (3) months of employment
Current DEA & MA controlled substances registration required
- Experience:
Minimum of three to five years of relevant clinical neurology and stroke care experience in a hospital or neurology office setting required
