State of Massachusetts Re-Entry Resource Liaison in Middleton, Massachusetts

_General Statement of Duties:__ This position serves under the direct supervision of the Director of Pre-Trial Reentry Services and assists in the administration and operation of the offender’s reintegration and aftercare process within the Essex County Correctional Facility. Works closely with the programs, classifications, treatment, medical and mental health staff. Coordinates all administrative and clerical support of the reintegration process and maintains the confidential files of work as needed. Assist administratively by maintaining internal and external communications for the office. *Supervision Received:*_ Work under the direct supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Programs or other senior department managers/administrators of a higher grade who provide instruction and guidance. _Essential Functions:_ § Assists the Director of Pre-Trial Reentry in facilitating reintegration/diversion planning for inmates within a pretrial status who can access probation or reinstatement of probation as a sentencing option. § Engagement with the inmate population regularly to complete diversion planning, psych socials, treatment plans, and any other planning necessary for the pre-trial inmate population. § Assists in providing reintegration/diversion options for representing counsel, public defender’s office, district attorney’s office, specialty courts (drug court, veterans) and Office of Community Corrections. § Manages caseload of pre-trial inmates designated by the Director of Pre-Trial Reentry § Works collaboratively with existing contracted agencies (Spectrum, WellPath, Volunteers of America, Acadia) within the delivery of reentry services. § On a case by case basis coordinates necessary transportation of serviced population to accepted programs. § Assists in facilitating Veteran Services such as making referrals to HUMV, Veteran’s Court and working collaboratively with VJOP § Maintains records and data supporting outcomes of serviced population. § Develops interpersonal skills by working closely with clinical/program supervisors and other designated staff members. § Will assist within the delivery of medication assisted treatment options within this agency. § Will provide necessary supports for Community Relations Coordinator and Pre-Trial Reentry Director to both preserve current partnerships and scope of future collaborations and initiatives. § Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Must have both practical and theoretical experience working with offender’s reintegration and aftercare planning.
