CMM Programmer/Operator

Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision? Are you skilled in using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and interpreting complex technical drawings? If so, we want you on our team!

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Quality Control department as a CMM Programmer/Operator. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of manufactured parts through CMM programming, inspection, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Program and operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) using PC-DMIS software (3-5 years of experience required).

  • Conduct precise inspections of parts using CMM equipment and various measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.).

  • Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet all dimensional specifications.

  • Utilize your experience as a CMM Programmer/Operator to efficiently program and generate inspection routines.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools.

  • Effectively interpret and understand complex mechanical drawings.

  • Possess a solid understanding of production procedures to ensure parts are inspected at the correct stages.

  • Maintain a strict adherence to all health and safety regulations in the workplace.

  • Exhibit exceptional attention to detail to identify and address any potential quality issues.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate inspection results clearly.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.

  • 3-5 years of proven experience as a CMM Programmer/Operator.

  • Strong proficiency in PC-DMIS software.

  • Excellent understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD& T) principles (a plus).

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings.

  • Experience with various measuring tools and techniques.

  • Working knowledge of production processes (a plus).

  • Commitment to safety regulations and a clean work environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.

  • Effective teamwork and communication skills.
